IMAGINE

HAPPY
The endless cycle of creation, destruction and starting again can make his work seem futile. Having materialised his own experience of the incessant labor through a series of metaphorical objects, Shun Chih Chang project himself as a worker who is always building in an imaginary construction site.
With repetitive ruining, there is no final product, no final object. What Shun Chih doing is simulating an endless manufacturing process and questions how society views the meaning and value of labor. Apart from looking at it with consequentialism, can the value be seen from the process?
However, the role he plays is no longer shown as a manager who controls the final outcome but rather moves along as a tool in an eternal process of sincere attempts.
Performing in a highly entertaining way but touching existential topics in a humble way. Rather than futility, by embodying the endless cycle, he experiences it as a self-reflection and inevitable flow of nature.
